Here is a question, I am new to xecuter 2.6, I am trying to install it on a 1.0 motherboard. How do you get a bios on it. I don't have any flashbios program on it and I wasn't wondering how to flash it for the first time, any ideas/ recommendations/links that can help me out thanks.

once you've installed the chip depending on if there's already a bios on it and a dash, then you can get a program called FlashX which can be installed and run as an app in onto your box

more info is need though as to if you've got the chip actually installed and is it booting up ok, if not what happens when you do boot up?
from the status of it, specific recommendations can be made to help you out

Alright, I installed it and it starts fine, I just recieved it in the mail. When it is in the bios loading screen, it waits a little bit, then loads the original xbox bios. Thats when I have the hard drive in it it came with. So i am assuming it doesn't have any bios on the chip. The hard drive is the one it came with with no soft mods or anything, fresh and empty. The chip is 2.6 ce with two banks, doesn't matter which bank I put it on. I don't know how to load a bios on it. I was expecting to see flashbios to pop up but nothing does.

Sounds like a problem with your install. Do you get any lights? The chip comes with flashbios on it, and you should be getting that when you boot with the chip on. It will be a blue screen with five or six options. Check your install again, and if that doesn't work try flipping the on/off switch and the bank 1/bank 2 switch a few times while pushing back on the switches.

I'd normally agree, but in this case, all the lights come on. The chip glows blue, and the on/off switch has lights (blue, green, and red in no specific order) this chip doesn't seem to have it on :/

Ok, it needs a 512, but every time I load a bios nothing happens. The xbox shuts down like it should, but then when I restart it nothing changes (still runs flashbios)

Are you booting from bank 2? FlashBIOS always starts writing from bank 1. So if you have been booting bank 2 and only flashed a 512KB file you'll need to switch to bank 1 to boot from it.

also a good bios to use is the X2 5035 which is reliable and stable and is already 512k so there's no need to worry about resizing
