Hi all.

Well, i dont know what to do, im stumped. iv searched everywhere, through all the tute's, all the thread's, multiple site's, and i cant find anything.

basically, i installed the 2.6ce with the xapt3r on my v1.3. all's good. got a new bios on, and got slayer's auto installer running. now, the problem begins.

slayer works fine, except, my HDD wont unlock. int he system settings, it simply says "unlock error". and tells me i have 0 space on c:, e:, and the others...

now. i go through the slayer unlock/lock and unlock, and reboot. but it relocks. so i go through bank 2 on the x2, and unlock the hdd, reboot into bank 1(btw, im using the latest x2 bios) and it freezes at the black screen after "xecuter2 config live loading". so ir eboot to bank 2, lock hdd, reboot to bank 1, and it boots up fine, but keeps the hdd locked.

i cant access the hdd via ftp, even after unlcoking it through slayer.

im really stumped. i have no clue, i have tried everything. i hope someone can help me...

have you installed a dash
slayer 2.6 or 2.7

nope. i cant because it's locked. unless you can still write the dahs with the hdd locked?

on that not, if i unlock it through slayer, i cant back up the drive via ftp, and i dont know what will happen if i attempt to mod the drive, by installing EvoX, and then it totally becomes FUBAR.

i trust myself with the whole computer/programming part of this, but its the whole, locking/unlocking, eeprom-xbox thing thats makin me a bit nervous.. haha.

is this a new or old h/drive
try using configmagic on a cd-rw to unlock hard drive
on other note use Auto installer deluxe 3.10 to install Xbmc as a dash evox is getting very old

its just the 10gb OEM drive.... i built a new hdd(160gb) with xboxhdm, but it didnt want to work. so i rebuilt it via slayer's disc, but it wouldnt boot to a dash, or anything. i had to build it via the hotswap method, of course. the slayer disc wouldnt load unless the locked, retail hdd is in...

i just got a copy of AID so ill try that tomorrow. what should i install from there? any particular dash?

and what about problems associated with writing straight to the OEM hdd without a back up? i find that a touch scary, because if i lose it, i am screwed.

AID3 has a copy of the ms dash so you will be ok install xbmc as a dash (one of the best)

alright, well. i tried the AID disc, but it wont boot. i burnt it to a cd-rw that worked with slayer, and a dvd-r that also worked with slayer, yet it wont boot past the rox my box logo.

if i hotswap to a larger hdd, and format it, and do a clean install of evox/xbmc and apps, but it wont boot past the "xecuter2 config live loading.." screen...

it wont boot to ms dash with the chip disabled, i get a code 13 error. i unlocked the retail hdd and reinstalled ms dash via slayer, but still got the code 13 error.

does anyone have any sugegstions? im stumped...

did you burn the iso file that in Aid3 download
what did you burn it with
burn at a 2x max

burnt with DVD decrypter @ 2x. Used the iso from the AID torrent. used the exact same settings and media as i burnt the slaer disc with. slayer works, aid doesnt. no clue why

i have know Aid3 to take its time to boot try waiting a while to see if it will boot

nope. i left it for fifteen minutes and it just hangs at the rox my box screen. bummer.

try diff brand media sometimes cheapes work well
