Ok my last mod chip got fried by static on my 1.6 So i just go my new x3 in and installed it. And then i downloaded the 3029 bios flash and began to flash it like i did last time. SO the flash went smoothly and shut down on its own and everything but when i turn it back on the xbox will power down then up and i get a black screen. So i was like ok maybe some how that flash got messed up. So i flashed it again on the second 1mb and it did the same exact thing. Keep in mind everything went smoothly with my last x3. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Derek

Make sure to use correct bios. If you have correct bios, then you might read this thread: http://www.teamxecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5764
I will try that, but one thing that threw me off about that post is that it said "however a solid green LED and NO frag." I am getting a alternating light (green and Amber) And the post didn't mention the xbox turning off and on before the black screen. I will try that but if anyone has anymore suggestions let me know.

Thanks,
Derek:)

yeah, that is correct, that post is for black screen but no frags. I wasn't sure you have frag or not. I would think of a bad flash/bios or incorrect version of bios for your xbox version. Make sure to use X3 3029 v16plus.bin in your case.

Yes sir v16plus is the one i used. Is it possible that i am totally screwed since i flashed both 1mb on the chip? I read on one post that you could start it on like a 512 bank and then set it over to a 1mb bank as soon as the flash bios screen comes up, and then you can flash it. I said it flashed successfully doing that but once again it shuts down several times and goes to a blank screen after powering one.

THanks,
Derek

no, you still have backup flashbios that you can get to by pressing power + eject buttons at the same time.

For some reason after several attempts it finally flashed with out any hardware modifications. I just booted to one of the 512 banks then switched to a 1mb bank and flashed. Took several tries but it worked! Thanks for your help all, and hopefully this post will prove to be some help to some one else!

Thanks again,
Derek
