So just a disclaimer I bought this switch hacked and paid extra for SX OS to be pre-installed, so I'm not 100 percent sure whats been done to it in terms of setup. I know its setup for AutoRCM.
I had been having issues with newer titles not wanting to install due to various issues with signature verification failure which everyone has told me was due to those titles expecting newer sigpatches which are included in the SX OS firmware, I was that a new firmware had finally been released, accordingly I updated to 2.9.5 via the Album replacement app included with SX OS (my switch is on whatever the final 9.xx firmware was) and after that it asked me to restart. I went to power options from the home screen and selected restart. The screen immediately went black and the entire console is unresponsive. Neither my phone nor my PC see it as an RCM device. My hypothesis is that its crashed out but not fully shutdown, otherwise worst case scenario it would have entered RCM and stuck there waiting for a payload. I've tried holding the power button down for 12 seconds, doesn't seem to force the console off as its still not showing up as an RCM device to deliver the payload.
What are my options here? The battery was at 69 percent when I updated, my switch loses about 10 percent charge when sitting in hibernation per day and I expect the rate of loss would be similar for whatever the hell is going on here, so worst case scenario the battery should sh*t itself in about a weeks time at which point I can charge it all night and then RCM it. I'd prefer not to wait a week though, for reasons I hope are obvious. There has to be a way to shut the damn thing down.
EDIT: It snapped out of it. To anyone else that has this problem just wait about 30 minutes. Now how do I best go about updating the Horizon firmware?
