RGH Black Screen/no signal after flashing flashnand.bin

I am able to flash the reset glitch and recover my CPU key and everything fine.

I'm using 360 Multi Builder v0.7

In the process of building flashnand it says it couldn't decrypt kv.bin

I believe kv.bin is already decrypted, it's downloaded from the web interface for xell glitch where I got my cpu key.

It then does find the CPU and DVD key and builds flashnand.

However when I flash the nand back to the 360 and boot with the eject button I just get a black screen/no signal. The center green light on the front of the console is solid, the red power led on the cool runner is on and the green light on the coolrunner flashes periodically

360: Zephyr

So you did boot to Xell?

Edit: Did you read your nand 2 or 3 time and compare them and what do you mean "it's downloaded from the web interface for xell glitch where I got my cpu key"

Yes I was able to boot xell, when ypid do and you have a network cable connected you can goto the ip with a web browser and download the keyvault.bin, the cpu and dvd key and a copy of the current nand.

So I'm good to that point.

I did 4 nand dumps, and I used nand healer to compare the nads and they were all exact matches.

Here’s what I did:

Flashed console to 13604 (Not needed)

Flashed CR to Zephyr with Jtag Tools 4.25
Installed CR and all wiring( using QSB )
Built image_00000000.ecc with 360 Multi build .4
Flashed image_00000000.ecc with Jtag tools 4.25
Xell booted right up and got Keys
Built boot image with 360 Multi Build .4 and selected “ build image without Dash launch patches”
Moved nandflash.bin and xenon.elf to USB drive and put that in USB port and booted to Xell
Xell found my files and flashed my nand
I then shut down and pulled the power from the console and waited 30 sec. or so and powered up
One green flash later I had the NXE dash.

This has worked for me, if you do this and it still isn't working, then you need to recheck your wiring

Thanks, I will give that a try!

Ok, I tried that, it found the nand on the thumb drive flashed it, I power down and pull the thumb drive, power on and same thing, no video signal.

---------- Post added at 16:04 ---------- Previous post was at 15:58 ----------

correction, doing it this way I get 3 flashing red lights: upper left, lower left, lower right

If I flash the nand using the nandx I do not.

I am able to flash back to the original nand and that works, and the coolrunner obviously works as I am able to put xell on and get the keys. I can only guess something in the process of building the nand is going wrong.

If someone has any suggestions I'm at a loss right now. I think I'm doing everything correct.

I can't get this Zephyr I have to even boot xell - what different ways have you tried to generate the freeboot?
Because, if you're getting xell, the glitch is good - do you still get the RROD with freeboot? if so, what is the secondary error code?

I was using 360 multi builder to build the new nand. What is the prefered way to do it?

To be honest this is my first RGH/Jtag so it's all new to me.

FreeBoot is an alternate nand that I can just flash with my cpu key?

I have exactly the same problem as you..

Did you check that your LDV's are the same number as your fuses tho? (count the f's in fuses 7+8, and check your nand in 360 flash tool)

It's on the forum somewhere, unfortunately this all seemed to match up on mine.. So in my case I suspect sum crappy soldering/wiring.

After checking the LDV I did find they were not correct.

I used the latest hand healer and I am getting much further. I have encountered an odd problem.

With the DVD drive connected I am unable to get the unit to boot as fares I can tell.

With the DVD drive disconnected It boots about 1 out of 60 times and gets to the point where it's looking for files. which I do not have it connected to a hard drive/usb/network so it won't. 1/60 is horrible. I have seen some people say in such cases to set the with to slim not phat, but I don't notice any difference. I double checked that I avoided routing the wires through any of the problem areas and it is secured with electrical tape.

Some odd things from experimenting. If I boot with eh power button instead of eject with the dvd drive connected the error I get is 2 red and 2 green and they blink alternate witch 2 are red and green.

If I use the power button to power on with the DVD disconnected it's normal with the 1/60ish chance to boot
At this point I don't know what to do here are the specs of my machine:

Type: Small Block
Model: Zephyr (halo 3 limited edition)
CB: 4578
DVD: benq

ok, I can get into the xex system (booting with eject) about 1/15 times now, but I can not get the dash to boot.

I get the 2 red, 2 green and they swap a few times then it goes on the controller led lights up but nothing on the screen and it seems frozen.

Any ideas on this at all?

I have tried with VGA and HDMI cables as thats all I have.

What secondary error code do you get ?

Have you tried with another RF module?

There are no other error codes.

As for video I only have HDMI and VGA.
Sorry. I meant ROL (Ring of Light) module. 2 red and 2 green could indicate a faulty ROL module. But its probably a NAND error in your case.

You can get a secondary error code by pressing and holding the sync up button, while holding that button press the eject button.

Ok, that procedure results in no secondary code. As I stated, it acts like it has booted, so as soon as you press and hold the sync it goes into sync mode and pressing the eject button with sync still held does nothing but eject.

Now on the odd chance that it get stuck with teh 2 red 2 green flashing the secondary code is exactly the same, 2 red 2 green.

Most of the time I just get the green center and it keeps trying to glitch infinitely.

If I flash the original nand back it goes back to default xbox mode so it doesn't seem to be hardware.

OK... Firstly move the green and blue wires away from the soldered through hole components on the back... Use the search button.... there is a thread...

Secondly, it says bad KV/can not open because of two things...

1. wrong CPU key
2. Bad Nand dump
