black screen on startup of tak the great juju

I have two Xbox's 1.6b with x3ce chips, on box one I have a 250gig hd running avalaunch dashboard, this box will not play the game from hd or a back-up, it starts, shows the logo screen then goes to a black screen and hangs, box two has stock hd running xbmc and it will play the backed up game, any idea what is going on with box one? sorry for the lame game, tack the great juju challenge it' my boy's Xbox
