Black screen with 3x but getting Emerg Bios

ok my brother nacked his ver 1.3 xbox

it was chipped with a X2.3b lite

its was showing nothing on screen with or without the chip enabled but was getting sound with the chip enabled then it was resetting its self

i pulled the X2.3b out and attempted a normal boot
(still got black screen) and i thought that the onboard bios my possible be fragged (and possibly the x2.3b)

so i pulled my X3
(which is working and flashed with latest 3x bios and Flashbios)
out of my xbox and wired it up to the 1.3

the problem still remained black screen but no audio this time

the strange thing is i can still launch the Emerg bios (power and Eject) and it displays but cant get any other life from the machine ie no xbox logo x3 Bios Config or Bios boot (except Emerg Bios)

anyone got any ideas?

just to let you know i was going to flash the bios on the 1.3 with the
working bios of my xbox (1.4) just to get it back up and running.

the hdd on the 1.3 is unlocked to wouldnt have a problem there

any ideas on how to get the 1.3 working again would be relay helpfull

got it fixed

this is how

1

i installed the X3 back into the working xbox (1.4)

flashed the modded version of Flashbios 3.0.3 with EEprom recovery to the Emerg bios

(search "Repair you eeprom from flash bios" posted by Martin C)

reinstalled the X3 in the broken xbox (1.3)

Booted xbox to emerg with bios (this was the only bios what would display anything on the screen)

selected fix eeprom 1.2/1.3 from the Flashbios screen

Rebboted the xbox and hey presto.... it booted with the X3 disabled and enabled

removed the X3 and put the X2.3b lite back in

All working

I hope this helps everyone with the same problem
(and have noticed theres quite a few on the boards)
