I might just be a little paranoid but I have these black scuff marks on the bottom edges on my brand new xbox 360. I looks like the white paint has been rubbed off a little. Is this normal? Just bad quality control from MS?

I returned the first 360 thinking it was previously opened and used (Target) went to another store (Wal-Mart) and got a new one. Again there are black marks on some of the edges of the case!

The boxes looked new and upopened everything was packaged and sealed up still. When I booted up the it went to the welcome screen and the kernel was still 2858.

Anyone able to shed some light on the situation? The systems play games just fine and the MS seal is still on there when I take off the faceplate. Thanks!

Yeah pixies with big boots on broke into your sealed 360 box and started kicking the sh*t out of the case!

other than that bad packing by M$

Does that shed enough light on it for you or shall i shine a torch aswell ;)

I guess im just anal and paranoid haha
Im always like this when i get a new system/gadget/toy ect especially since this is a $400 one.

Theres something else I noticed everytime I boot up the 360 it makes a short buzzer like sound. Is this normal, I dont remember hearing this before and on my friend's? Little things like this just bug the hell out of me.

Yes Samsung drive only does once right when I boot/power on the 360 with or without a disc inside. Im guess its just the drive powering/spinning up?

Otherwise the drive is pretty quiet.
