HI everyone! I have a black xbox 360 i want to play my backup games on. How much will the equipment cost to do it myself vs how much would someone do it for?

Either way it will be cheaper to send it to some pro.. Buying all necessary stuff is way more expensive, trust me
How much roughly are you saying? ( i would like to learn to do this so i can do my friends xbox 360's too)

it depend on the drive in xbox but like it was stated I would send them both to get done because it will be cheaper then buying the parts to do it yourself and u could risk damaging your xbox yourself better safe then sorry
you are gonna need the basics for flashing phat drives: usb pro + ck3i + probe = approx £75 (if you can get them)
Slim: this if its a newer console:
- Xecuter DG-16D5S LTU2 Unlocked PCB or Hitachi DL10N LTU2 Unlocked PCB
- Xecuter X360USB PRO (V1 or V2)
- DVD Drive Power Supply (X360USB PRO V2, CK3i, CK3 PRO, CK3 Mini or CK3 Lite)
- RGH Glitch Device (CoolRunner, CR3 Lite, CR3 PRO, DGX, RGX etc)
- NAND R/W Tool (16MB use NAND-X or JR Programmer OR for 4GB use the 4GB SD R/W Kit)
- To identify which 360S motherboard you have click here
- If you have a Corona v3, v4, v5 or v6 you will need a POSTFIX ADAPTER.
- Sata Cable (Supplied with X360USB PRO)
- USB Cable (Supplied with X360USB PRO)
plus dont forget soldering iron & loads of experience and know how
so add another £100 give or take

And then find somewhere that has all of the equipment in stock. JR Programmers especially are hard to find at the moment.
