Blank Screen after Flash X3 (Using solderless adaptor)

Hi,
Installed a X3 chip on 1.6b XBOX, flashed chip with X3 1959 bios on first 1mb bank, flashed using CD and flashbios all went ok. Now getting a blank screen when booting the X3 BIOS, LCD is green for a few seconds then turns to red but doesnt blink. The external switch stays blue. I'm using the solderless adaptor so what do I need to do? Thanks.

Try a more up to date bios. Make sure its for 1.6 Xbox's. the v16 plus file.

I flashed with X3_1463 that I got from FlashFXP. Should I update? How do I get back to FlashBIOS so I can reflash? Thanks for your help.

I really appreciate your help. I did install the X3_1463.bin but I will download the newest one now. What do I need to do from here? The power + eject method of getting back to flashbios isnt working.

If I boot with the external switch set to off, off, off, off, off then the xbox will turn off and on 3 times and then start to frag. If I have the external switch set on any other setting, then the xbox will start up but after a few seconds the LCD will change to red. I'm sorry but what do you mean by trying to boot to backup? I'm new at this so I appreciate your patience and help. When I press both the power and eject buttons though, nothing comes on.

Thanks a ton for your help. I'll have to download that tomorrow because I've already downloaded today's limit from FlashFXP. I'll post back when I see how it goes. Added to rep.

OK I've burnt the newest x3 on a CD but now I'm unable to get back to flash bios. Whenever I turn the xbox on with the external switch set at on, on, off, off, off the LCD will be green for a few seconds and then change red. Any suggestions on why its doing this now? I was able to get to FlashBIOS earlier using this method. I'll keep trying and hopefully I can get it.

Do you still have the X3 bios working that you installed previosly? If so just flash via ftp. Go to the admin folder and select the 1234 bank (1mb)

Thats the problem though. Ever since I installed this x3 bios I've been having this problem. Also, the only method that I have access to at the time is CD so ftp is out of the question. Why did this work ealier but not now? I'm still playing with it, hoping to get back to FlashBIOS.

Well after playing around with it I finally got it back to FlashBIOS. I'm not sure why this would matter but I had to turn the xbox on by hitting the eject button to get it to bring up flashbios. I reflashed with 3942 and everything seems to be working now. I'm gonna go read up on what I need to do now. Thanks to everyone that helped (especially matt77303)
