I posted in the other forum, and then found this one which I should have used in the 1st place.
I have a version 1.6 (verified AGAIN today by opening it up and seeing the Samsung chip) xbox & X3 chip that *have* been working until a few days ago when it suddenly stopped. It boots with a red light on the X3 logo switch and will go blue after a few seconds. The eject LED is a steady green until I press it. It will then flash green until turned off. The audio and video are dead the entire time. Starting up with a quick jab to the power button or the eject button have the same effect. Holding the power button also does the same thing. There's no difference between the 3.
By holding down both power & eject, I can get to Flashbios 301. I can flash x3 3294 v1.6plus without a problem via network http. The flashbios shows the yellow bar, then the green bar, then powers off. All this happens fairly quickly with no hangups. I've flashed both 3294 1.6plus AND 3293 1.6plus.
Nothing changes. I get no video, no sound. Getting to flashbios tells me that the adapter and chip are at least seated/connected correctly. I may have the wrong bios or be using the wrong flashbios version, but I've verified I have a 1.6 NOT a 1.6b (Samsung chip - NOT Hynix) and am using Flashbios 301.
I inadvertantly flashed over both 1MB banks, so using Flashbios 303 isn't an option (unless someone can help me there too).
I hope this is enough info, and that some kind souls can help, Thanks.
