blank screen problem...

Did anyone with the problem where you flash bios and it works correctly, shuts down, and reboots to a blank screen, find a solution to this? It is driving me crazy and I've tried everything that i can possibly think of and looked everywhere trying to find some kind of a solution and have come up with nothing. Just to make sure, it couldn't be any of these things could it:
1. running the factory xbox RCA cables(red, yellow, and white) through an RF modulator to my T.V.?
2.I'm 99% positive i have an xbox v1.5. Suppose I did have a v1.6 and didn't install the alternate 5v wire, would the flashBIOS screen even come up?
3.The media that I'm using, even though it appears to flash correctly and shuts off just like it should?
4. I've tried the dip switches at on on off off off as well as off off off off off. Are these not the correct settings?

Any input on this problem would be GREATLY appreciated. It is driving me completely insane. Please help. I'm a complete noob to modding, but installed the chip correct on the first attempt, so that proves I'm not a complete idiot right? Thank you all very much for your time and effort i sincerely appreciate it Btw i followed the tutorials for flashing step by step and am using the 1957 repack for bios obtained at the correct place.

i had the same problem as you on a version 1.6, but lucky for me, this install was not for me, but my boss at work  so now i have to look bad when i walk up to him and say, hey there was a problem installing the chip sorry, i think i may just buy a xenium ice and try it, see if that works, also if you havent gotten it yet, i never fixed the problem. I have checked my soldering, and i didnt even take the risk of using a disk, i did it via http so i am completely out of ideas, btw, mine is a v1.6, I have even installed teh 1mb flashBIOS 3.0.1 and it worked so i dont think its a bad flash chip, so i dont know. hey xecuter, maybe theres some way i can send the chip to you and you can try it on a 1.6 see if its the chips that are bad or if its the xbox.

would a v1.6 even boot to the FlashBIOS screen if you didn't install the alternate 5v wire?

i need the whole xbox not just the chip

its not a chip issue its a flashbios issue tied with the xbox itself

there is some weird bug here - i just need to have it in front of me to fix it

Banned and hard drive question.....

Well i was banned the middle of last month, I bought a new xbox 360 arcade and am now using the harddrive that was on the banned console on my new one without any problems.....My question is I bought a banned console off of ebay to play backedup games and also a 250 hard drive. I am going to transfer all my saved data from my old harddrive to the new one and use the new one on my unbanned console....will I run into any problems with saving games, installing games etc....or will this go smoothly?

Re: Banned and hard drive question.....

From what I understand you will want to invest in a memory card... and just transfer your game saves over to the memory card then to the new HD.. then recover your profile on the new HD and you should be corruption free?

Re: Banned and hard drive question.....

Or just get a HDD transfer kit. Or you can take apart the hdd and connect it with sata

My friend that had modded mine before i was banned said tht he can put all of the info from the smaller hard drive onto his computer than hook up the new hard drive and transfer it all over.....this should work correct, i think this is what you were getting at but wasn't sure.....

Re: Banned and hard drive question.....

if it doesnt work then going to the xbox website and doing a license transfer should work

note you can only do one license transfer a year

Doesn't the new console have to connect to xbox live? it's a banned console so I don't think i'll be able to do this is that correct?
