Is it still needed to unplug the laser ribbon to flash my xbox if I have Blaster ck3?

I've got a lite-on 7485OC drive.

If I need to do this I guess you guys should edit your information about only opening the xbox 360 once with the blaster ck3...

I hope this won't be needed because I already bought the blaster :(

I have never once unplugged the ribbon cable to flash a drive and have yet to lose a single laser!

unless there is something wrong with your flashing kit the chances of it happening are very slim

i heard you had to do that on the newer lite0ns requiring the LT switch. i too have never done that, just curious why would the flash effect the laser?

So I understand that there's no need to disconnect the laser ribbon when flashing.
I have a Lite-On 93450C and it was flashed 2 times before (by someone else) without disconecting the ribbon.
I want to flash it myself to 1.91 and wanted to be shure.

Thanks.

In my experience - it's the older liteons and hitachis that are problematic, although I always recommend unplugging the cable.....I guess it kinda defeats part of the idea of the CK3 Blaster lol......
There is a disturbance in the xbox force - I feel the presence of Sp4rkst4rt3r........where are u bud? lol

if i may, when i installed my blaster on a liteon74850c, i unplugged the ribbon for the initial flash. i had no problems till my cod n acb backups quit playin. when lt1.91 was made available, i reflashed with sata n usb. took five minutes. works just fine. hope this helps.
