I have spent the last 5 days trying to dump and flash my Xbox360 m28 samsung drive with my Dell 5150 with a Intel(R) 82801GB/GR/GH (ICH7 Family) Serial ATA storage Controller - 27C0 chipset with no luck. We can't even dump the firmware to make a backup. I have been trying to follow your excellent tutorial "hacking the xbox 360 for dummies" and can't get it to work. I can get to select option in dos where I select Extreme and it freezes with with the usual error Port: d800, Master/Slave: a0 or something like that. I don't have an option in the bios to turn off RAID only set it to on or autoI think. Anyways if you could help me that would be great.
I am using a flash USB.

Well, you haven't been following it very closely then, because it clearly says that for MS28's you need a VIA chipset to do the bad-flash process. That, or take a soldering iron to your unit with the VCC approach (not recommended).

Get the recommended VIA 6421 card and you should be good to go :)

yep - you only need to disable onboard raid if flashing with the onboard sata. The PCI card should work just fine

They are the most popular ones mate and yes they work fine but then again anybody with any sense would not buy a Dell computer :p
