Blue remote LED FRAG on 1.6 X3 + Questions + PIN 9

Need some help.

I did the install without the rebuild kit. This is what happens:

Quick Press
1. The xbox powers up, remote Blue LED comes on. Both LED on chips are on.
2. It powers off.
3. The xbox powers up again, remote Blue LED comes on. Both LED on chips are on. The unit stays on with no output to screen.
4. Eject button LEDs FRAG red and green.

Long Press
1. Everything works as normal

Eject + Power
1. Get the purple remote LED(s)
2. Nothing on screen.
3. FRAG

Questions:
Instructions without the rebuild kit PCB on the Xecuter Install page does not have a wire connecting PIN 9 (3.3v) and PIN 15 (3.3v). The PCB DOES connect these PINS. When tested my PIN 9 does not show any resistance at all. Should I connect these PINs with a wire? If not why does the PCB need this and the regular install not? Should PIN 9 have resistance regardless?

All PINs show some resistance EXCEPT PIN 9 (see above), and PIN 3 (LFRAME). I have checked and rechecked the quality of my solder connections at these points and they "look" good I have desoldered each a few time, redone with flux to no avail... Should these PINs show a reading? If so what could my problem be?

HELP!

Exact same thing here, no voltage at pin 9. I have resolered it god knows how many times with no luck, neither at 3 but I still don't know whether I should or not.

OK - Is this what happens when the install is correct on a 1.6b? Seriously when I bought the chip there wasn't anything said about 1.6b being different than 1.6...

Can someone confirm that the behavior described is symptomatic of X3 flash incompatibility with 1.6b?

I need to know for sure before I begin messing with the BIOS!

Help here is much appreciated

put a bit of pressure on TEAMX... IM HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM TOO!!!

The manufacture date is 17-10.04 (17th October 2004) For the americans...

This must be a v1.6b.

This is really getting to me aswell!!!

Aloo - are you saying that the x3 chip I purchased from Diveon HAS the BIOS flashed? The reason I ask is I've seen several threads saying that the x3 from Diveon isn't flashed, as it is supposed to be AND I am getting the blue light, so I believe the soldering to be good. I am not getting anything displaying on the screen tough. Thank you for your input.

I got my chip @ modchip.ca - they are posting to send in the id on your RAM chips indicating that a 1.6b may not work with the X3. I'll do my due diligence before proceeding...

OK... lets really diagnose this problem...

Every thing soldered.

Every thing connected, alt 5v, do, lan and hdd, rebuild done... just fragging.

Long press it frags, quick press it frags, and back-up it frags.

Soldering looks fine, multi meter test done, PIN 3 is constantly a changing voltage reading.. every thing else is right thou..

Both LED's appear, using the original LOCKED hard drive and my massive 120gb Maxtor unlocked drive still the same prob.

I've just had a night mare with every xbox that i've soldered.. i say bring back the 2.3b Lite PLus!!

ANy one got any idea's. It sounds like a D0 problem, but the solder joint looks fine!!

TEAM XECUTER - WHERE ARE YOU? Can you please provide your input into this issue. I am confused. I don't know whether x3 came flashed from Diveon. I don't know whether this chip even works with v1.6b. I am sensing that there is an underlying issue with the x3 and v1.6b boxes. C'mon guys, let's get this cleared up.
