So I successfully RGH'ed my slim yesterday, and intend install a dual-nand setup in the next few days, but today I guess everything lined up against me.
My freeBOOT nand was created with my console's original keyvault (I intended/intend to change it, but I didn't at first just because I wanted to see if I could get everything working properly.) Before I started anything I made sure to disable LIVE access through family settings, however this didn't hold through the creation of the hackimage (I'm not sure why), and I also kept the wifi card removed. Of course, I managed to have it connected to my router via ethernet for the purposes of FTP-ing and as I was switching to XeXmenu I hit sign in to a LIVE profile (which shouldn't actually have any live access, since it's like 3 years old, but I doubt it matters). As soon as I saw the spinning disk (probably about a second or two after I clicked it) I pulled the plug. My question is: does anyone have any idea what kind of time frame exists before the console actually does any sort of negotiations with the LIVE server? Am I basically SoL (If it's a definitive yes, I'd rather not flash back to stock nand to check)?
