Booktype question.

I am running Xtreme 2.4 for my Hitachi drive, and I was wandering if I have to change the booktype for this FW, as I do not have a DVD+R DL that will change booktype. I have heard yes and no, and I want to know for sure before I buy a new burner.
Please let me know.

what burner do you have? and have you burned a DL before on the drive you have now?

I have whatever drive that came with my laptop. I have never burned a DL before, but it is a DL burner
