I had my SX Core installed. The light is green, display shows BOOT.DAT missing. I know that this issue had been mentioned here before but I wanna make sure I did everything I could before I go back to the service.

I formated my microSD several times,EaseUS show 1 partition only. BOOT.DAT is in the microSD card.

Tried turning ON/OFF several times.

Any advice please? I'd open it and try microSD card reader connection but I dont have necessary equipment.

Thanks in advance

no, it should automatically boot to bootloader without pressing the vol up + power. Probably the sd-card reader is not well connected to the mainboard. Go back to the guy, who soldered it for you.

What sd-card do you use? Did you try different one? Did the guy make sure that the connector pins of the sd-card reader were in good conditions?

Is your SD card correctly working on a laptop?
Did you try to copy some files on it and to read them? Everything OK?

Try to format it again using "guiformat FAT32" tool, then copy again the "boot.dat" of SX OS v3.0.4 on the SD card.

Try to boot again using only power button. Check if the led is correctly going to green after blinking several times in blue.

Let us know what happens next.

I had the same problem and even wanted to write about it here, but i solvet it myself. I did an update just before installing the chip. Unfortunately, latest stable boot.dat would't load. But boot.dat from beta version start working ~! It may be that you have another update and interfere with the boot.dat version (I am writing it based on my own experience). I saw a link to all the older boot.dat somewhere - maybe it's worth a try with them? Someone can work for you :)

Download Tinfoil and Nut server, then you can install your NSP games by USB (check tutorial on YouTube)
Tinfoil will automatically cut the files into 4GB blocks during the installation, you won't even notice it.
For XCI games, you will have to cut them into several files before copying them on your SD card. You can use XCI-cutter for example.

Guys you are the best! Thank you for your support. I found some app that divides NSPs into FAT32 friendly partitions. I’ll post link when I get home. Thanks once again!
