On Boot would it be possible to load different dashboards by holding down different bottons. Now I am using two bios to do this. This would be a nice feature. Thanks
Re: Boot different Dashboards by holding down different bott
you could set up avalaunch as your main dash, and in avalaunch assign the other dashboards to different controller buttons (it's called quicklaunch or something). Check it out.
Re: Boot different Dashboards by holding down different bott
uh...not as stable? Have you tried it? I've set up Avalaunch to run XBMC off one button, Halo 2 off another, etc.... and it works every time. It may not be as slick as doing it through the bios, but it is plenty stable.
btw Lindows is not linux run in windows, it's a distribution of linux that is supposed to be easier to use for former windows users.
Sorry if this is really stupid, I know it is but I don't know what else to do.
Okay so, I tried doing the rrod fix, all went well until I tried to put the motherboard back into the metal case. This is really irritating since I'm nearly done, the motherboard just randomly won't fit in. It fits in fine at the back but isn't low enough at the front so I can't attach the rf module. I don't think anything is pushing the motherboard up, the metal case seems perfectly flat.
Re: Help please - Motherboard won't fit back in case.
Thanks for the reply.
I have one steel and one nylon underneath and the same above but obviously the other way about.
I've got 10mm screws, after realising they were too small I followed another video showing how to do it with smaller screws and only 2 washers on each side. It's not actually attached to the case with this method, but there are holes drilled so the screws aren't pushing the motherboard up. I've heard this method works as well as attaching it to the case but it may get the rrod again quicker. I'm not really fussed about this though as I'm going to get a new xbox soon, I just wanted this one for a few months.
Re: Help please - Motherboard won't fit back in case.
you need to do the other xclamp fix where the bolts go through the metal casing you can find the tutorial at llama.com
you will need a drill for the 5mm bolts to go through the holes
