I already have dashlaunch installed so I thought I'd set up my console to boot directly into FSD2 as I like the fans to be running at 100% all the time and it would be easier if I could just boot straight into it. I've added my launch.ini to the root of my 360's hard drive. This is what it looks like

Default = Hdd:\Content\FSD2\default.xex

I've also tried it like this

; Default = Hdd:\Content\FSD2\default.xex
[QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_A =
BUT_B =
BUT_X =
BUT_Y =
Start =
Back =
LBump =

When I restart the 360 it just boots into the normal dashboard instead of FSD2. What am I doing wrong and how do I get it to boot straight into FSD2?

You have FSD2 present in the "Content" folder of your HDD?

Yeah the FSD2 folder is in the content part like this: Hdd:\Content\FSD2\default.xex. I ran the dashlaunch installer again aswel but it says that it's already installed so thats not the problem. Any ideas?

Ok lets fix you shell we lol get your FSD2 out of Content and put it on your Hdd root then rename it to FSD Edit your launch.ini folder on your PC .. Mine looks like this copy it if you like >>

[QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_X = Hdd:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000\C0DE99990F586558
Default = hdd:\FSD\default.xex

[Settings]
nxemini = true
pingpatch = true
contpatch = true
fatalreboot = true
regionspoof = true
dvdexitdash = true
xblaexitdash = true

Then FTP your Edited launch.ini to your Hdd root over write the other you don't need to run the dash launch installer again just power off your Jtag power up and if you did what i said it will boot stright into FSD.. ;)

I copyed this and still can't get it to work, I have the launch.ini in my HDD root and my FSD folder. I start the installer again and it just says File is already current in flash" and "Patches don't need updated"

Try putting launch.ini in ....\Installer\Files\

And make sure it isn't really named Launch.ini.ini and check that it is still ASCII.

And this shouldn't be [FIXED]. Not yet at least ;)

It now seems to be flashing and is recognising the launch.ini but still no joy.

In my XeX menu my root hard drive is called HDD1, should I keep it as HDD in the launch.ini or change it to HDD1 ?

This one thing has been annoying me for 2 hours lol thanks for the help mate

Should be kept as hdd.

You should make sure the location is correct.
In Johnny's it says "C0 DE99990F586558". Make sure yours is the same or change it to C0DE99990F586558 in the ini.
