So I have done a few jtags now but this ones being a pain. its falcon 7371 confirmed jtaggable after putting nand reads in jrunner. for some reason my nand x isnt working properly but my paralell is. I got two nand reads that matched it found one bad block that jrunner remapped, when I tried to boot xell i got e-79. resoldered everything about 5 times it all seems good still got the e-79. i flashed it back to stock and it boots fine to stock. I am thinking with the jtag wires still soldered in that it shouldnt boot to stock is this true?

Jtag wiring doesn't affect stock booting. Make sure you have the correct smc patch. Like aud-clamp or not. Post images.

In the case of a spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.

Jtag point readings

Does anyone know if there is a thread that shows voltage and resistance reading to test jtag points? I have used the one martin c posted for the nand x all the time even prior to soldering. I just bought a rrod off ebay got the rrod fixed with a reball and noticed that its 7371 I checked the nand and it is jtaggable. Now i see someone tried to do this before and noticed the bottom pads for the alt point and the point under the db1f1 have both been ripped off. the db1f1 still has a wire attached with hot glue over it I would love to be able to test the connection with a volt meter

I did use the aud-clamp and clicked it in jrunner when I made the image.

Re: Jtag point readings

The only points to really test on a JTAG are J2D2.1 and J2D2.2.

Destination points (like HDMI/AUD_CLAMP/ROL etc) are to be checked using normal means.

Thanks for moving the thread I realized what I had done after and asked if anyone could move it. I have soldered the aud clamp to the bottom. I will have to research the "normal means" the only point I am worried about is the normal db1f1 as it was installed before i received the system and under a ton of hot glue so I dont want to mess with it if not needed. But I see the other alt points are hmmerred so I and thinking that odds are this ones not the best. Thanks martin
