i just installed my chip and when i boot the machine up it tried to boot 3 times and shuts off each time but on the third time the eject light starts blinking green/red. It makes al;l the sounds it normally did when i booted it up befor ethe chip. the tray wont eject either. Original HDD in there. XBOX v1.0 i think (with the side vertical chip near the power on/off adapter) anybody got any ideas? and how should i configure the external switch? Any help is greatful.....did i install somethign wrong? hope i didnt ruin my box.......

BEST DL BURNER?

i got a question if anyone could help. i have 2 dl burners 1 is an lg and the other is a samsung but both of them are crap at burning dl discs. the lg says it can burn at 2.4x in the manual but it will only let me burn at 4x. the samsung will burn the same discs at 2.4x but when you put it in the 360 i just get open tray. the lg games work a lot of the time but there are still some errors and im driopping a load of discs. ive tried loads of different media, verb, ritek, and loads more but same happens. so im gonna buy a new burner. any advice please?

i use a lite-on blu-ray drive they sell at wal-mart for 100 bucks that will burn DVD-DL. It's nice if you want something extra with your burner. i use that with verbatim and have no problems at all.

I agree with Windowshot. LiteOn burners are the best...but you don't necessarily need the Blu-Ray one. Say one at Frys yesterday for $30. Also check newegg.com

could be your laser on your 360 i had great work with sonys also try diffrent burning programs are worth a shot for burning

thanks for the replys. i know its not my 360 laser as its brand new and barely been used. when i burn the backup and try to verify it keeps getting read errors on the crc check. i just bought a sony optiarc so hopefully that should sort it out.
