Booting is weird when protect is on, external switch

Ok not a big deal just kind of a hassle. When I boot up with the chip protect on and the external switch protect on the LEDs on the switch work but then my box turns off and on twice and then stays off. If I boot with the switch protect off it will boot to X3cl just fine but the LEDs don’t turn on. The only way for it to boot and the LEDs on the switch to work is to switch the protect on after I am done booting X3cl. The only thing I can think of is that it may be something with the bank select or something like that. Like I said it not that big of a problem I just don't know where to even begin troubleshooting.

on-off-on-off is bank 56 which is for 512kb

So, How did you flash a 1024kb Bios to a 512kb bank?

Thanx for the reply, I found out what the problem was and fixed it. When I screwed down the controller ports I accidentally cut through one of the wire casings and so it was not detecting the switch until I turned the switch protect on, and thats why it fragged every time I booted with it on but didn't frag when it was of and then turned off after booting. Also because the wire was like that since I installed it, the chip flashed to bank 1(the default bank) and not 5-6.

P.S. if you are wondering why it was on 5-6 its because I was seeing if the switch was working and it wasn’t so that helped me to diagnose the problem. I know that 5-6 is only a 512k bank. I guess next time I will try and explain a little better why the switch was set like that.
