RGH Both red and green LED on when booted

Hi, I've got a question:

My console is Slim(trinity), and I successfully wrote the ECC, but after soldering the CR, I saw both LED on as soon as I insert the power. I can hear the pattern of the CPU fan, but the console didn't boot to Xell within 5 minutes.

The CR I used is the so-called Rev.b, and the online-shop where I got my CR said that they have programmed the CR for me before they shipped it.

I heart that bridging the CAP which is on the CR board may help, is that true?

Can anyone help me please??

Doesn't sound program. When both lights are on usually means not programed.

Sorry that I forgot to mention that it doesn't boot to xell AT ALL, and the power light on the console is blinking

Thank for your answer!
I wonder if bridging the CAP will fix it, and is there any other method for me to program the CR without using the Nand-X and the Nand-x to CoolRunner Cable>?

Please post some pictures of your install. As TILVI has said when the CR has power and BOTH lights are on that usually means that it is not programmed. Additionally, was the CoolRunner chip sealed in the static bag or was it opened when you took it out of the box?

Bridging the CAP point will do nothing to fix this and the CAP is only for Jasper models that have trouble booting. You can program the CoolRunner with the NANDX and NANDX to CR update cable or with the CR LPT cable. I suspect you already have a NANDX if you are doing a RGH?

Yes, but I don't have the cable for connecting the Nand-x to CR, since the seller promised to program the CR for me..
I saw the plastic bag of the CR chip opened when I open the paper box, which made me believe that the seller didn't cheated me:facepalm:But if the 2 LED on means non-programmed, I've been cheated indeed...

Anyway, thank you very much!

I'll post some pics of my soldering soon

Well, likely you just need the update cable which is only a few bucks. Not sure where you are located but check the authorized resellers list, that way you have nothing to worry about, you will get exactly what you order.

Would be a good idea to post pictures of your soldering regardless just so we can make sure you are 100%.

Additionally, if you are ordering the update cable you may want to get the POST QSB board, it can be VERY helpful in optimizing Slim boot times.

Just find someone close by who you can post the coolrunner to that will program it for you.
