Bought soderless X3CE chip

Since i have the Xdpt3r do i still need to soder the lan and hd (red, green, and grey wires)? If i don't soder those will the chip still work?

I've only read about the solderless adaptor but I think that the hdd and LAN wires are optional - they certainly do NOT affect the actual running of the chip.
