I recently tried flash my benq drive and the process was going smoothly until i was writing the firmware. My computer froze while it was erasing bank 03 and now the drive is not recognized by my computer or in my xbox360, the light just blinks green. Also the sata port i have is attached to my motherboard so it is not an external one. Does anyone know how to unbrick the drive?

(Also all the topics i have seen about unbricking require a X360USB PRO, which i do not have.)

Thanks for the response, but my xbox doesn't recognize the drive either so i can't "open the tray" suggested in all the situations. I should maybe be more clear an say that my benq drive is never recognized and has only sometimes been partially recognized. Also, what i mean by partially recognized is it will same some other things besides "no device detected".

tbh - sounds like an SATA issue- the reason the drive wont eject is becuse there is no firmware on it now - which is why it can't be seen either - how are you powering the drive?

This has happened to me before, what I did to fix it was to first close jungleflasher and turn off my CK3 (keep everything attached) turn your CK3 back on then open jungleflasher and go to your MKT Flash tab. Click Outro/ATA Reset on every I/O port that says "No drive detected!".

If I remember correctly, I eventually found the correct I/O port and after clicking Outro/ATA Reset, it found my drive and brought it out of vendor mode. Make sure you don't accidentally mess with your hard drive or computers DVD drive.

I'm not exactly sure of a solution, but you can try a different SATA port, reboot your computer, and even possibly a previous of jungleflasher (or newer version, if you're using an older version). Also closing unused programs in the background can't hurt. Even having the tray half open (open tray, start to close tray and cut the power halfway, before it closes, then return power) might solve your problem.

It may just be that your on-board SATA just isn't compatible, as many are. Others may have more input as I have little experience with jungleflasher freezing.

I have flashed successfully with the sata before, so i know it can be done. I'll try switching sata ports though

I had this happen. Not with the writing failure but I forgot to outro the drive and it made it to where JF wouldnt see it for some reason. I know which Sata Port it was on so I just kept power cycling the drive and hitting intro and outro until it finally intro'd the drive.
