BENQ bricked but have spare board

Hi can anyone help ? i have a benq 64930 that was fashed to lt+1.1 which was on 2.0.13146.
(windows 7 pentium 4ht +x360usb+ck3 power)
just tried flashing to stock to update dash via usb and it bricked, ive tried all tutorials and posts to unbrick with no sucsess.:facepalm:
i have a spare pcb which is on stock f/w but dont know exactly what to do as i dont know what dash its on, do i get into vendor mode, read f/w leave f/w in source and just load 1.91 as target & spoof source to target then click write in mtk32.
i maybe right but it would be nice to hear it from a pro as i dont want to brick another board. thanx

You need the original firmware or at the least the key from the original drive.
-Load that as source

-Then flash stock firmware onto the drive first install it in the Xbox and make sure it works update to the latest dash and then flash LT+ v1.91

BenQ are almost impossible to brick so your one is probably repairable

thanx for your quick reply, so load my orig.bin to source can i use the same file as the target if not i have stock firmware i downloaded 2days ago but unsure which to load as target as there are post and pre 13141 (orig-04421c-A020.bin or a choice of four others ranging orig-64930c-A030.bin - orig-64930c-E030.bin) thanx for your help it's appreiciated.

as to my bricked boards i have 4 of then from past cock ups lol, any ideas on unbrickin
i have tried everything on this forum and other sites.

Unless something went bang, it's not bricked.

Connect the drive and try a benq unlock (top button in JF, not intro/device ID).

Load your orig.bin as source use the stock firmware from the firmware pack as target you use pre 13146 if the console is on a older dash than 13146 or post 13146 if it is on 13146 or newer.

if the orig.bin is still for a 64930 then I would use pre 13146

Click spoof soure to target and write.

But as Martin C has also said Benqs are extremly hard to brick and a usually recoverable

thats what i thought about benq but i cant get into vendor mode ive tried closin jf disconnect all leads and reconnect power on ck3 load jf open drive half way and click intro then yes but nothing happens is there anything else i can try?

post your JF log please.

Vendor Intro will NOT work. Click on the BenQ unlock at the top of the screen.

Believe it or not, this is in the tutorials.

Also, update the X360USB Pro to 0.18.

hi martin thats all thats in the log when i try to unlock benq, i cant find the log i saved when i bricked.
if i cant sort these boards out is there a chance you could unbrick i have 4 benq and 1 lite-on 74850 if your interested.

ok - when you connect the drive board up to the X360 USB and power it up, you click on the ... next to the port number (0x0000) and it should refresh the bottom left window with the drive type. Does this happen at all?

Hi i have tried what you said, when i push ... the windows activity cursor goes for about 4 seconds but drive properties remain static and says no drive detected.
what does this mean? Thanx

Did you connect the power cable upside-down at any point? There's something weird happening if you're killing drive boards.

Hi no I've never done that I always bake sure green cables are up the right way
And that the guides line up when inserting, like u say it's strange I never have problems with lite-on, hitachi or sammy but benq different story do you think it's drivers or maybe my computers is it more compatible with win xp or is win 7 ok.
When I flash a benq I click benq unlock, drive goes to vendor mode I then read to source, then in firmware I autoload latest f/w spoof source to target, then save everything goto Mtk 32 and click erase then write, if then erases, writes, then reads all banks and says write verified ok, I then click outro, that's when it goes wrong NO DRIVE DETECTED. so frustrating.

You don't need to click erase on a benq (I have never tried it so not sure if that is your problem) .
You are using a X360usb pro so drivers aren't the issue.

to try and unbrick some of them.

Thats a awful lot of boards to brick considering how easy benqs are. It would have been cheaper for you to pay a professional to do it truthfully. But never mind I am sure the boards will be recoverable.

Do you have anything out of the ordinary installed in your PC, hardware or software?

I would try another computer or build a HDD with a new copy of Windows on it, then install JF.

Hi lizardpcs thanx 4 your response, funny I always use urbergeek's guide & tutorials his step by step guides r genius, I made a mistake by saying I click erase I ment to say I click write and it erases chip then writes and verify's all ok up to outro then goes dreadfully wrong another dead board.

As to the other unblocking guide I have tried both many times I have even Oliver aux power to x360 pro to boost juice with no sucsess, but not to worry about the boards I buy off fleebay for £10 for 5 boards not bad price one day I'll sort it and won't need to buy anymore.
Anymore suggestions welcome as my hair is going grey.

Thanx Martin funny u say new pc I have just built a new one with core i7 2600k
I'll format a drive when I get home and install a clean copy of win7 pro and install jf only where do u recommend I put all my dumped firmware from my other pc or should I leave that & just put all lt+ f/w in folder provided.
