So i tried restoring the original bin to a hitachi 078 drive. During the process the toolbox locked up and now the drive wont eject. I tried to boot up with slax 2.1 and see if windows can detect the drive, no luck. I power on the console by itself and i get an error 65. So what are my options now? Its my friends drive and feel terrible that i bricked his drive. Do i just buy a new drive and flash my key to it? or should i find a repair man that can unbricked my drive? please help thanks.

Ok it looks like i would have to use an external programmer to unbrick this hitachi drive..... too much work, unless i find a service that will do it for me, so far no luck. So i think the easy and safe option for me is to buy another drive. BUT... i dont want to deal with hitachi anymore, can i buy a samsung drive in there and use my hitachi key correct?
