Bricked or not

I think I may have bricked my Zephyr box. BUT maayyybbbeee someone can help.

I have been trying 2 days to get RGH working on my Zephyr. I have coolrunner glitch pcb installed.
I began with dash 13599. Did 2x copies of nand. Compared ok. Did ecc of nand. Wrote nand back. No errors. Programmed Coolrunner and installed. Checked wiring over and over. Xbox would not glitch. Green led on coolrunner would flash every few seconds and front panel centre led came on only.

Eventually gave up and restored original nand. Found RROD errors occuring. Repaired the RROD. Xbox then boots fine. I then updated dash to 13604 and tried RGH again. In my absolutely infinite wisdom I did not read nand again after 13604 dash install.

I did NAND write with ECC file created from 13599 dash.
Just green led on front panel of xbox come on and flickers now. I only have original firmware from 13599 dash backed up now. I have written it back but same problem.
Have I now bricked the xbox or should it boot from the 13599 original Nand backup even though 13604 updated was done on xbox?

I hope I have made sense here.

Thanks in advance ...

Yup LDV changed. Just build new image and make sure the new built freeboot image has its LDV updated afterwards.

Thanks for referral to tut on ldv. NO SUCCESS.
I created a new ecc with ldv incremented to one more than value of original NAND. I used Nandpro to write it back.
Glitch board green led falshes every few seconds.
Console front panel green led chages to flickering after a few seconds.
Nothing more happens. I cannot get into Xell.

It seems like RGH is not working. I have thoroughly checked soldering and made sure there are no damages.

I have query about ecc file. It is only 1320KB versus 16896KB of NAND. Is this ok?

Thanks in advance

I have tried Stock (Original) NAND, but it goes to LDV error (front led flashes for 20secs and then console goes to RROD (3Led) error.

It wont load Xell .. I tried switching from Phat to Slim. No success. Wiring is routed well away from coils as per pics on install tips from other users.

It wont run from Zephyr stock nand anymore as per Martin C explanation of LDV.
My stock nand is 13599.
Console was update to 13604 somewhere during attempts to get RGH working and was not dumped ..

When i reload stock nand it goes to RROD after about 20secs - as explained by Martin C. I also do not have the CPU key as the console didnt ever want to load Xell.

If I understand Martin C right. With glitched ecc installed it does not worry bout LDV and should start Xell regardless.

Am I doing something wrong when writing ecc across then?
I use the following command: nandpro usb: +w16 image_00000000.ecc

Should I use +w16 or -w16 ?

Thanks in advance.

use multi builder and put the ldv value manual rember to add an extra one on your dumped nand as you have now updated

He doesn't have a CPU key so he can't.

Hi

I could not do an original nand because I dont have CPU key because RGH mod wont get console into Xell.
I have done following:
1. Took original nand dump (13599 dash's nand). Checked it in 360flash and got ldv=10 on dash13599.
2. Edited options.ini (cfldv=11) in 360builder
3. Made new ecc with 360Builder.
4. Wrote to console nand with +w16 option from Nandpro.
Console still does not go into Xell.

If I understand it right the LDV value is not an issue because I am trying to RGH the console anyway.

All that happens at the moment is on power up the front led stays on and Cool Runner green led flashes every 8seconds.

Wiring is 100% - I have checked thoroughly. Soldering is fine. I have been a technician for too many years already.

Is this maybe an RGH timing issue now?

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

try to resolder the underside then flash the first nand if it boots try to make a ecc
My first nand (original) is previous dash - 13599
I updated dash somewhere during all of this and did not backup nand straight afterwards. Merely went ahead with ecc, etc. ... :(
Putting back original nand results in rrod after 20secs (as per LDV issue explained by Martin C )
Need to somehow get Xell going on this bungle.

I have found several full backups of nand made during this exercise but some have been ecc flashed and cannot be opened by 360Flash. Any thoughts on how to get them "read" to see what dash version they on?
Then the next dumb question is: Can the ecc be "removed" and the nand "restored to original" from only a ecc flashed nand?

In short I am hoping for some miracle to happen ?(seen as it is Christmas ... lol )

Can RGH still boot the console into Xell if the nand is on different LDV?

Thanks in advance ..
