Today I wanted to update my xbox via xbox live.
I reverted to stock and updated the xbox.
Then i tried to put the firmware i had before the update back on the drive.
While i was having a cookie an error occured and the writing failed.
Now jungleflasher doesn't detect my drive anymore. I can get into vendor mode with the badflash tut on xecuter but when I try to read the firmware another error occures: parse failed.
I can't manually put the firmware in source because then I get the same error.
I don't know what to do anymore.
has anyone got experiences with this?

Why are you reading if you already were writing? Load your previous dump in source. If you stupidly didn't save a dump, just manual spoof your key into target fw

If spelling error, I blame Tapatalk.

Just a FYI. If you did in fact brick the Sammy you can get it into Vendor mode again by using the probe 3 and probing a spot on the Sammy PCB. Check the JF tutorial for this, can't remember what page exactly, maybe 192.

It make take a few attempts to get a verified write after doing this but it eventually works. If you have issues with JF crashing try older versions like 1.88

Older versions are no more stable than the current. This is poor advice

You can get samsung in vendor mode through dos. Get iprep and make a bootable usb. Easy way to recover.

Sent from my SGH-T839 using Tapatalk

Iprep was a disused tool as of like 2 years ago now i know i was as beta tester for it.

It was closed down as jungle flasher took every aspect of the program and made it easier and faster.
Jungle flasher is far better than any tool out there and has more functionality and stability.
All the answers you need are here on site or in the JF guide.

Thanks for all the help guys, but the problem isn't that it won't get into vendor mode.
I can get it into vendor mode with the bad flash method on this site.
But getting the drive into vendor mode this way, you won't get the "additional" information which normally is displayed beneath drive properties.
It won't load a firmware file to source or target either.

I know iprep is old an I wouldn't use anything other then JF. but dosflash works really well if you have a sammy acting up.

#JungleFlasher
iPrep is a .NET application and collection of MSDOS applications
this includes dosflash built in.
Nothing recovers a bad flashed samsung drive better than a via 6421 card running driverless
dosflash offers nothing more than jungleflasher can offer
a driverless via 6421 card using vcc method with jungleflasher will recover it.

Thanks for the help guys.
At first the drive wasn't reacting and saying "Drive returned invalid status"
After several times it just did it.
