Find someone technical enough with fixing things like that and give it to change the type-c and replace it with another one, your dongle will have to be opened to do that.

Honestly the time involved and cost to repair the usb-c your better off to get another. If your going to have someone repair it then just go for an internal install instead. I put off doing it for a while but it was worth the time. You can use the dongle you have. Internal only takes a few wires and you no longer have to worry about dongle or jig. I set mine to work exactly like normal but with no hardware needed. I did that so I could switch between OFW and CFW easily but AutoRCM and internal and you can not have to do anything to boot CFW. Honestly one of the few times I would recommend AutoRCM for most users.
Mine will no longer hold a charge I had it for a very long time I love sxos
Pop it apart and get the numbers from capacitor. They are cheap and easy to replace. Good solder learning project. Actually ask the OP for parts if they decide to do internal. Not needed for internal.

would probably cost as much as getting a new dongle if i were to buy tools to do internal install. i did read about it but it's too much trouble for someone who never touched a tool before. i'll probably try to get a micro USB to USB C adapter to plug into the other end, does anyone know if it will work?
