iv been playing my xbox 360 for a year now with a broken fan and havent had a problem besides noise. now im ready to get it fixed to avoid ROD but dont know how.
i was going to order a talismoon fan, but when i tested my stock fans on a 9v source, they both worked fine. plug it into my 360 motherboard and only 1 fan works. the pins in the motherboard dont appear to be broken, but i dont have a multimeter to test the connection.
i figured that if one fan is getting power, then maybe i need to rig up a better connection to the motherboard. or, if the pins for that fan simply dont have any voltage, then ill have to find an alternate power source in the 360 and run it at a constant voltage (better than nothing). any ideas on how to fix this? iv searched for info on it, but it seems like this isnt a common problem.
