I am sorry, but I am a total n00b as far as xbox modding goes. I bought an X3 and the Xadapt3r and upon installation, I thought that the screw that came with the adapter went into the case, then the mobo went on that, then the adapter, then the hat. That obviously didn't grab, so I took the screw out of the case, and after staring it for about 20 minutes I realized how it was supposed to go in. So I put the motherboard back into the case, screwed all of the other screws in, then proceeded to put the adapt3r's screw in, and pop, half of the screw broke off and disappeared into my carpet. I have read that it should still work if the screw is half broken but it sure doesn't. The adapter is still extremely loose with the screw hat on as tight as it will go.
I have tried contacting the website that I bought the chip / adapter from but I haven't received a response in 5 days. Does anyone know somewhere I can get a replacement, or who to contact about getting a replacement screw?
