Broken up d0 trace, but modchip works...???

I have a v1.0 xbox and installed my new X3. Trying to solder that damn d0 point, i lifted and broke off the traces up to and solderpoint on the d0. well, i still managed to solder the d0 wire, but didn't fix the traces....

the xbox and modchip works...i can boot up and play games etc fine, but I cannot turn the modchip off and the dvd light continously blinks..

I am not concerned about turning off the modchip, i will probably always keep it on anyways, so is there anyreason for me to repair the trace, or if I am happy with the mod, can I just keep it like this?

well, the D0 wire sends a ground to the xbox to tell it to boot from the LPC(pin header). So that trace must have a connection still if your modchip is booting. Maybe you dropped solder on your board somewhere, a stupid mistake like that could complicate things, look over your mobo to double check nothing else was touched. If your happy with it and it works i dont see any reason to try and fix it. If i'm wrong someone correct me.

how to mod benq drive

is this wat i need to do this it say i need either a PCI Sata card with VIA6421 chipset *you can find them off Ebay* that specific chipset isnt needed per se, BUT you DO want either VIA or NFORCE, or else it wont work. if its not could u send me a link of wat i do need and here the toutorial link is if u culd tell me anything else i need it wuld be greatley appreciated

they've got everything you need. via 6421a cards and the ck3 pro. get them and then follow the jf tutorial and you cant go wrong.

dude honestly all you need is a sata card or maybe your computer already has them if you goin flash mine as well test it out and see if your drive comes up after you install ioport 32 ben q and samsungs are the easiest drive to flash i just plug up to my sata port and open half way then flash nothin more to it
