First of i would like to say i'm new here, so i was kinda clueless where to post this problem i have. Now my problem:

The story (what happend before):
I've got the Xecuter CK3 probe V3, i got for 2 years now. Flashed 10 different drives with the help of this wonderful tool. And i'm pretty sure the product is still functioning right. When i was flashing an xbox for my friend yesterday with jungleflasher, the program froze in the middle of the proces. I did however managed to get the DVD key safely on my computer. I decided to downgrade jungleflasher, and then the problem of the random freezing was solved.

When i plugged the xbox into my to TV to test if it reads backups, it luckily did, but only XGD2 ones. The XGD3 didn't read at all. So i decided to unflash en reflash it again, to see if the problem was solved. Didn't work at all, i ended up flashing it like 10 times. It was really late, and i got so tired that i didn't really had much patience anymore.

The actual accident:
I accidently put the CK3 probe cable upside down in the drive. I little smoke started getting out of the DVD drive and also some burned smell. So my first reaction was to power everything off.

Note: my laser was connected all the time to the DVD drive

Results after testing the drive:
The Xbox drive refuses to read any discs. Xbox original games, backups XGD2, backups XGD3. When i insert a disc it starts to spin, and almost instantly stops and says "Open tray". I'm pretty sure somethings broken inside the drive, but i'm not pretty sure what. I'm looking for a way to fix it as cheap as possible.

Info about the drive:
Drive: Lite-on DG-16D2S
HW version: A0A1
FW version: 74850C
Flashed with: LTPlus-0251-v3.0.bin

If u have a weak laser xgd2 games will read ok but xdg3 games will struggle or not read it all. So its a possibility that your flash was ok in the first place and the laser was at fault. The good thing is u have the dummy.bin saved. U can pick up a cheap drive nowadays and which shud have a good laser with it.

Thanks alot, whish i knew that earlier. I would have just adjusted my laser strength then. I learned my lesson not to flash an xbox at midnight :p

Just one more question: does it matter what type of Lite-on drive i will put in my xbox as a replacement? Or will any type of Lite-on do?
