RGH Bunch of problem

Ohk I got this rgh today and it's not on the current dash do I just update it to the latest dash and keep the cool runner in and the rgh it again after update is done..? Also the Xbox won't boot in it just has a black screen or if I put a hard drive in it won't boot the Xbox at all. But with no hard drive in will will boot in like 7sec

I am confused. The xbox wont boot but it boots in 7 seconds? And DO NOT update the stock dash to 14717 or after.

It won't boot into excell but it will boot reg in 7 sec nd why not updat ..?

first of all, please punctuate. if you write everything like this it will be a mess and no one will understand you do i make myself clear now thanks

if you have dash 14699, leave it there. do not update. new updates alter the bootloaders and you might loose the ability to hack it specially for phats (at least for now)

if you try to update and do not know the proper methods to do so, you also might brick it or at least, render it unbootable until the coolrunner is deactivated or desoldered

if i understand the other boot question, your xbox is only able to boot if no drive is connected? is it a slim or a phat? you can try these steps:
- without hdd, boot via power button
- without hdd, boot via eject button (to XeLL)
- with hdd, boot via power button
- with hdd, boot via eject button

wait at least 30~40 seconds before giving up as some consoles are quite stubborn if the wire length/placement is not tweaked after installation.

no its not on the new dash with youtube app but its the one befor that and the drive is flashed to LT+2.0 with im wanting to upgrade the dash so i can flash the drive to 3.0

i still can't understand your real problems and you can't seem to follow instructions or even properly write so me and other people willing to help can reach out and give you a hand.
I'm still willing to help but you have to LEARN how this works: you ask for help, you follow directions so we can help you further.

answer these questions:
- slim or phat?
- current dashboard?
- material used (direct soldering/qsbs/coolrunner)?
- do you have the original nand dump?
- does it boot properly? with and without hdd connected?
- enumerate what you are trying to achive and the problems you are facing


and for the love of manking, please puntucate!! it's not that hard. and make lists. if we cannot understand you, we cannot help you
