Ok, so I don't have a whole lot of hope left that I'll be able to fix this but here goes:
I was soldering on the lpc rebuild pcb that came with my X3 chip and I was using the wrong tool for the job (a too big soldering iron with a too big tip--I was too lazy to get a smaller tip and now I'm paying for it). Anyway, it didn't go so well and I ended up having to remove it. I was worried that the motherboard had been fried so I put everything back together unmodded and started it up. The MS Dashboard started fine and would even load games with only one little problem. The picture is screwed up--it appears to not be displaying any blue.
I guess I'm hoping that some genius out there will be able to say, "No blue colors, huh? That's easy, you messed up such and such connection or capacitor. Just replace it or fix this connection and it will work fine."
Any ideas on how to fix this or to at least figure out where the problem is or should I just write it off and buy another one?
