hello,
I have been using ihas124b and mkm003 from the day burnex max was released and I have had no issues at all until recently my last 10 burns or so with the same burner, same media and same settings have all failed. They either fail to verify, when they do the console cannot recognize them (play disc).
The initial suggested settings when burner max was first released were
Layerbreak: Calculate optimal
OPC=OFF(for 2.4x) or ON(4x)
SB=ON
FHT=OFF
OS=OFF
OHT=OFF
I have been using the above with acceptable results for the last couple of years. Though a lot has been has changed since then I have never bothered changing them since I have had no problem.
I recenty got a 10-pack of Verb Singapore printable disc and not one has been a good burn. After the first 4 failed, I have tried various settings Including drunkenNinja's.
What could be the reason? Is it my burner past its life or was it a bad batch?
When I run the discs through nero/kprobe the scan starts off well its between 40% - 60% the graph spikes and goes haywire and then settles down. If its a bad burner I should see spikes all over no?
Thanks in advance.
