So I'll try to explain this the best I can with my english.
I was using a Optiarc 7460s and burning Xbox 360 games with Truncate for the last few years without any problems. And because it worked I never bothered buying a Burnermax enabled burner or anything.
Anyway the burner broke down a couple of weeks ago and I bought a $15 burner from LG.
I used the truncate method with Far Cry 4 but the game wouldn't work on my Xbox. I downloaded the payload tool, enabled Burnermax and then burned the game but it still wouldn't work.
Then I stumbled on a forum and saw a list of approved burners for Burnermax and bought the PIONEER S18LBK. I enabled Burnermax with Payload and burned the game, but of course it didn't work. I tried it with Truncate but still no.
I've done this with Far Cry 4 and Mordor's Shadow on both burners and both methods but with no luck.
Can anyone tell me why I was able to burn with my old Optiarc drive with the Truncate method for many years without any problems but with the other two burners neither Burnermax nor Truncate will work?
The Xbox shows the thumbnail of the game. But when I click on "Play Far Cry 4/Mordor's shadow" it says that the disk is not supported.
I'm thinking of returning the Pioneer and buying the Optiarc 5280s cb plus but I'm afraid that won't work as well.
