Burner Max Problems

I have a LG Blu Ray Burner model GGW-H20L. I have burned hundreds of blu rays and a bunch of xbox 360 games on it with no problem. A friend of mine recommended burner max so I can fit all the data of the 360 games on a DL disc instead of truncating the games like i have been doing for years. After trying to run the burner max program after I put in a DL disc I get the following message.

Scanning: F:\ [HL-DT-STBD-RE GGW-H20L YL07]
Scanning Failed!
Will try matching for known write only drives...
BurnerMax not enabled, Yet!

So I figured my drive wasn't compatible which it is not. So I tried to burn a blu ray today with ImgBurn and when I pop the disc in it says the following.

Device Not Ready (Medium Not Present - Tray Closed)

Originally this drive had the YL05 firmware and wouldnt' read Verbatim BD-R LTH Type 6x speed disc. So I flashed it to the YL07 firmware and it burned them fine. That is the media I normally burn on. So I thought maybe it wouldn't burn those discs anymore. So I popped in a Memorex BD-R 6x speed disc and it didn't read that one either. The drive was always capable of reading/burning those discs because those are the disc I have used since day 1 with firmware YL05 and continued to work with YL07. I have tried to uninstall the drive from the device manager and reboot and let it find the drive and install it and it still wont recognize either disc. I tried to flash the firmware back to YL05 and it still doesn't read either disc. I then tried to flash it back to the YL07 firmware and still no luck. I have read countless threads and no one has had this exact problem I am having. Did I trick my burner somehow by using the Burner Max program to think its no longer a blu ray burner? Any help is greatly appreciated. I really don't want to have to buy a new blu ray burner but it looks like that's what its going to be unless you guys can help me!

I saw your post in another forum. I have never heard of the Payload tool affecting a drives performance ever. But that doesn't mean its not possible. Uninstall the Payload tool. I don't know if it could have affected the drivers. Might try uninstalling the drivers and let them reinstall. Wish I had better advice. Then get an iHAS burner for XGD3 backups.
