i took your advice and bought a burner on the list instead of waiting for an update on the iHas124 W Amazon bait and switched me with.as many working models that we have already i would consider the tool to be as up to date as its gonna get im pretty sure. either your burner works,or it dont,pretty much it for that.
i drove an hour to Microcenter in PA., my nearest TRUE computer store. they had boxes of iHas 124 revision D's and a few other BMPT compatible drives sitting on the floor. I grabbed a D for $17. I just got home, threw it in the PC and i am burning my first backup now.
So if anyone is in the Philadelphia/Radner PA area, Microcenter has plenty of compatible burners. You can also order them online. Since i was fairly close - i just drove up there so i could SEE the revision letter before i bought it, didnt want to get Amazon'd again.
