If you just have to have the B revision, try eBay. Google is your friend. There are other options than that overpriced revision. C, D and E revisions work as well as Asus DRW-24B1ST.

Possibly. I have heard the A revision may have the correct chipset.

Im having exacly the same issue...

i have an TSSTCorp CDDVDW TS-L633C TF20 drive it patches ok, burn it at 100% and then i get this error

"failed to read sector 2112448 - Reason illegal mode for this track" at 49% on verify , tested in imgburn and abgx after the burn..
Hi,
I've your same DVD-RW model TSSTCorp CDDVDW TS-L633C TF20.

Have you solved this problem? I'm almost in your situation, cause I'm not able to play with burned games, altough Burner Max Payload says me everything is ok, but after I got a read error checking it back with abgx360.

I'm using Verbatim media code MKM-003, so it's nothing about cheap disc.

Please help

Thanks

Bye

It's cause FHT is either, not enabled, or cannot be enabled...

Hello, I've seen that on the first page the ASUS DRW-24B3ST is compatible with burnermax and I just wanted to know if this means one specific revision or any revision of this drive...
Thanks

So my LG has been tossing coasters left and right. Just got back from MC with an Asus DRW-24B1ST C. This drive is on the list of compatible drives but doesn't state if cross flashed. So does this drive just get installed and ran as is with the newest Imgburn that has burnermax built in and just run the burn as normal or what settings need to be done with this drive to make the outcome positive and not a coaster, I/O error at 49%, or an unreadable disk in the xbox?

Just got a completed burn. Will have to test and see if it actually works in the xbox. By the way the OP should really be edited as it is old information. No one uses the burnerMAX tool anymore since it is built into ImgBurn. Results below:

Same damn thing Disk unreadable. Gotta be this junk media. Should have picked up Windata while I was at MC. Never once had a problem with that stuff out of 750-800 burns/games. MC is 45 minutes away through hell and high water so I opted this last time to pick up Kodak 9 minutes away at Frys for $9.99/50ct. Should have went ahead and purchased the Windata's $34.99/100ct. Now I have to order them and pay shipping to see if that is the problem.

So I found the optorite in my dad's old PC that he doesn't use anymore
So please help me with this, thanks

Anyone got a link to ANYTHING I can buy on Amazon right now (under $25.00) that WORKS?

I am seriously struggling to find something. I have spent all day looking at the different models, revisions and my head is spinning.

There's a lot of conflicting views and I don't wanna have to send it back later. Cheers.
