i finally got my 360 firmware flashed (yay!)
using ms25 and via sata and xbm 5.3 rc1

anyways no i have no way of testing it

i was reading a bit on how to make 360 games from isos
i know the best media is verbatim DL disks
which i can get
but i was wondering about the drive you use to burn them

one tutorial mentioned the Pioneer DVR-111D
is this the only drive that works?
or is there other drives that work too?
and if there *are* other drives how can i tell mine works?

thanks!!

a decent DVD+R DL burner and good media will produce a back-up. Also make sure that the burner supports bitsetting and booktype.

You can use ImgBurn to set the booktype, but your best bet is to google search your burner's model number and the term bitsetting or the term booktype. This feature varies based on drives and manufacturer's. Some bitset to DVD-ROM by default, some need an updated firmware, some need a specific program, some don't support it at all.

You can use http://www.dvdinfopro.com/
get the trial version since your just checking the specs on your burner. It will expire but who cares since your checking once to see specs.
