Hello all,

I can't burn this Forza 4 backup with ImgBurn. I believe I now need to flash my PC DVD writer too, is that right

I've a Samsung DVD drive on the PC. I think the xbox's is a liteon but I don't think that matters as it's the burning of the disks that's the problem, the other backups play fine.

Any help would be appreciated. Apologies if I've hit the wrong forum.

Before you even consider burning a xgd3 game (Forza and any new game) you need the right equipment. You will need at the very least a Liteon Ihas-124B drive and flash the burner max firmware on that drive. Then you need to make sure you have LT2.0 on your xbox360 drive and that you haven't been online on XBL since early Nov and received the silent DAE update. You must also make sure you are on Dashboard 13604 or lower because the new dash has the DAE update incorporated. Now with this small amount of information I just gave you you can get a start but it is incomplete and you will need to use the search feature for the rest. But the information I just gave you is the basics for burning a newer XGD3 game so if you pass all the things I said then you can play new game backups once you read up on all the things past what I have given you to start. Oh and one last thing there are several older xbox360 dvd drives that do not use the DAE bin such as Hatachi before 79f and samsung so if you have one of those you are lucky and go straight to the needing LT2.0 and an Ihas-124B burner with burner max firmware because the DAE updates won't affect you.Cog

Dang that is what I get for typing a long answer you guys pass me up.Cog

Dragon, fail to see how that's helpful. If you can't be helpful then just don't post.

You need to read mate. Your Samsung drive for the PC is no good for burning XGD3 games. You should read up on Burner Max and XGD3.
I've had a look into them. Give me a break here, I didn't even know what I was looking for. But thanks...

Near Melbourne , Australia
the ihas drive only costs about $20 and you will require it to burn any xgd3 backups, really not expensive in the long run if you scratch any
