burning my disc images

Hi,

I've got verbatim dual layer discs burning a disc image i've had made for a copy of bioshock which i've bought. I'm burning the disc image in nero at 2.4X speed.
none of the copies i make seem to work.

has anyone got any tips for me?

I've got a pile of datawrite discs aswell and none of them seem to work.

My first concern is that the console modification has not worked. If this is so would the console still play bought games? Or is there a problem with my burning method?

Any help would be great.

I had issues until I went with Xbox Backup Creator 2.6. It's all good again.

Assuming that you are using a Kreon drive to copy the games and a compatable DVD DL burner (such as the 111D Pioneer like I have) I would suggest using ImgBurn to burn the Iso of the game rips.

I set my layer break in ImgBurn manually also. Open ImgBurn.
This has only to be done once as it saves this setting for future use.

- Go to TOOLS -> SETTINGS
- within the tab WRITE go to OPTIONS - Layer Break (for DL Media)
- click User specified
- enter 1913760 and click OK

burning with a Sony RW DW-D22A

Hi,

im having trouble getting my backup games to play on my console.

I'm trying to narrow down what the problem is so firstly i'm looking at my dvd burner.

I'm using a Sony RW DW-D22A which is a 16X dual layer dvd writer. Is this a good disc drive to use?

I'm burning to Verbatim discs at 2.4X

I understand that it may be something else thats wrong but just want a bit of feedback on this disc drive.

What program are you using to burn your backups and how exactly are you doing it?

Also what fw are you running on your 360 and are your backups fully stealthed?

Edit - I merged your threads, there's really no need to start a new one when you just started one on this same issue yesterday.

thanks for that advise, looking into those softwares now.

I've found you can get the backup creator from this site in downloads. it states that its for kreon drives. Am i right in thinking that this is a drive that been flashed with the kreon software? My burner is a sony D22A

i'm using nero to burn the disc images by using the nero express and going to burn disc image in the dvd options.

i've got ixtreme mod on the console. As far as i'm aware they're ixtreme compatible images.

You can't use Nero because as far as I know there is no option to set the custom layerbreak. If you use Imgburn and follow genoSUAVE's post above you should be fine.
