GENERAL Burns getting MUCH worse, not better

Any idea why my burns are getting horribly worse, instead of better? All are on MKM003 with nothing running in the background and the following settings:

OPC=Off
SB=On
FHT=On
OS=Off
OHT=Off[FONT=&quot][/FONT]

Burn #7 results (1-6 were equally as good):
PI Max - 27
PI Average - 1.19
PIF Max - 2
PIF Average - 0.07

Burn #8 results:
PI Max - 47
PI Average - 9.23
PIF Max - 9
PIF Average - 7.54

Burn #9 results:
PI Max - 327
PI Average - 8.22
PIF Max - 33
PIF Average - 3.21

I thought the settings used were supposed to make the burns better around the 8th or 9th burn, not get THAT much worse than the first 7 burns. No new hardware was installed, no new software, nothing on my PC changed whatsoever throughout the process. This happened before when Burnmax was first released but I wasn't using the same settings (don't remember what they were). Back then I said the hell with it because I could no longer get good results. I decided to give it another go a few days ago but before I started I first re-flashed to stock firmware, re-flashed to Burnmax, then set the recommended settings. Maybe I should just clear the OPC after every 7th burn? Or disable Smart Burn completely?

I'll try burn #10 to see what happens, but what do you all suggest if that one turns out like the last 2?

you can always clear opc history and give it a try.

Burn #10 results (did not clear opc history):
PI Max - 27
PI Average - 1.85
PIF Max - 4
PIF Average - 0.14

This one is much, much better than the last two but not as good as the first 7, and the PIF Max/Average is pretty close to over the recommended limit. I did move the image to a different drive and burn from there, so I'm not sure if that;s what made it better again... or if the last couple of discs were duds.

Maybe try some mkm001's if possible? Iv always had better results with them. Or maybe I'm just going crazy

make sure imgburn is upto date and turn every thing of but sb leave that on also clear opc then shutdown and restart the pc as this has to be done as part of clearing your opc try a burn at 4x and if no better try another at 2.4x and post back let us know how you get on ..
