Can someone provide me a link with information about what to do when your X3 is burnt along the edge? I remember people found some solutions, but I couldnt find any.

Thanks... I speant like 20 minutes searching and couldnt find it...
One of the LEDs isnt coming on and I can see a small black spot forming on the outside PCB trace...

U mean the balck spot is getting bigger? If it is look for a short somewhere, u wanna find that asap. If it's the 5v trace, check your alt 5v pin isn't shorting to anything.

Flashed drive not playing backups
Hi Just a quick question,
i have flashed a liteon with the LT firmware and the drive plays original games and DVD`s fine but not backup games. What i want to know is can i asssume the flash is ok as it still plays original games or would it still play original games if it was a bad flash? ..... im hopeing this may be a laser problem that is causing the backup problem and not the flash ..... thanks

i would flash it again just to be sure
but most likely it is a game burn / laser calibration problem
games aren't burnt the best and the laser isn't strong enough to read them would be my guess

I've had this problem a couple of times with Liteon drives. Flashed the drive sucessfully and jungleflasher varified this in the log. I ended up having to give the laser a clean with some cotton swabs and a bit of lense cleaning fluid. Worked a treat after that.
