v 1.6 mobo X3 chip with rebuild PCB

is there any hope of fixing this biatch! ??

the trace looks well and truly stuffed...i thought about running a little wire from the start of the trace straight to the pcb but the solder wont stick in that area...

your help is appreciated guys.....

i have checked out the sticky in regards to fixing traces and dont think it really sheds too much light on my issue as it is the end of the link that is burnt.

a thought i had was possibly using a PCB repair pen and redrawing the trace in and then coating it with overcoat to prevent any overlap....

just a thought...

You can use a PCB repair pen or a wire as you suggested in the first post. However, for it to work you must first remove the protective coating on the board to expose the copper trace, so that your wire/Pen can make contact. Also make sure you've completely fixed the trace before proceeding with the X3 install, you can do this by testing the continuity of the trace with a multimeter. Hope that helps.
