hi, i just installed a 2.6ce with an xadapter on a version 1.1 xbox, but the wire that connects the xadapter to the Dzero hole burned out, what gauge wire do you need to fix it as i cant get any normal wire in?

any help would be appreciated

I'm not sure what gauge the cable is - as you know, it's real thin!

Not idea how you managed to burn out the D0 wire - are you sure you put it in the right hole? Does your Xbox still boot with the chip removed?

i put the actuall pins on the xadapter into the wrong slots on the chip, it sparked on the wire to the Dzero and melted the wire, but my xbox still boots normally

I see! At least your Xbox still boots without the chip installed - it hasn't gone bang. As for your chip, it may have been killed when you powered the Xbox up after installing the chip.

You could...

a) Buy another Xapter.
b) Solder from the D0 from Xapter to motherboard.
c) Find some wire that'll fit.

Option b is probably the quickest. But please bear in mind that your chip may no longer work.
