Hello everyone,

Newbie here, I just received a new switch but see that the serial numbers indicate that it's very likely patched. I already have an SX OS dongle and I'm wondering if it's worth it to just buy an already banned switch. I've found some offers online which are banned and at a cheaper price; my only question is, will my SX PRO be able to work with these banned switches? If the original owners had also used an SX PRO would that create any kind of conflict? And is there anything else I should ask before I buy them? Aside from the firmware version and the serial number? Thanks in advance to any responses!

assuming these are not patched models a banned one is np there are ways of updating it without going online. so i see no issue with anything there. and as far as them using sx in past just reformat internal memory (factory reset).
